Makeup
The makeup artist is responsible for the makeup of the performers, etc., participating in the production. They work according to the director’s directives and, if applicable, under the supervision of the chief makeup artist, or, in the absence of a chief makeup artist, that of the producer or one of his representatives.
More specifically (but without limiting the foregoing), the makeup artist performs most or all of the following tasks:
- applies makeup to performers, etc.;
- applies, as needed, facial prosthetics (i.e. mustaches, beards, etc.);
- makes touch-ups on set to ensure continuity.
